Audio Network Installs Unity Audio 5.1 Active Monitoring System.
International music production facility chooses Unity Audio for new mixing suite. Audio Network assembled a group of trusted audio engineers to evaluate a number of brands at its new mixing facility deep in the Essex countryside. After a day of critical listening the team chose Boulder MKII’s in an L.C.R configuration with an Avalanche Sub-woofer taking care of bass duties. The system will be supplemented by a pair of Rock MkII active monitors already owned by the facility to form an impressive high resolution 5.1 mixing and playback system.
Audio Network is the music provider of choice for leading UK broadcasters, advertising agencies and independent production companies, representing an extensive catalogue of more than 94,000 original tracks and sound effects. Audio Network is unique in owning and controlling all publishing and recording rights in its music, allowing the company to provide customer focused high value and hassle-free solutions to music licensing for media use.
Audio Network’s senior mastering engineer Chris Brooke: “We’ve got a couple of well-used, well-loved pairs of Rocks here, and I know many of our composers use them too, so when I was specifying the new mix room I was very keen to audition the Boulders. They didn’t disappoint and we bought three of them!”
Kevin Walker Unity Audio MD adds “ We are delighted to have been chosen to provide monitors for Audio Network’s new mix room, we have had a long relationship with the team there. They record in some of the best facilities in the world and need monitors they can trust to translate to TV and Film. The Boulder MKII, Rock MkII and Avalanche Surround package was designed from the start to be work in a variety of studio environments and to tell the truth.”
